The overall objective of the present project is the design and implementation of a multi-layer approach in solid-state energy storage batteries. The synergetic effect of three different materials combined in this project will allow the fabrication of more efficient, stable and safer systems, which is paramount for a technological advance, demanded by many industries such as automotive or electronics.
The researcher Dr. Manuel Salado will carry out the design and implementation of a novel approach in solid-state electrolytes, one of the main bottlenecks to be overcome to increase the energy density as well as to improve the safety of the next-generation batteries. This fellowship will be carried out for 2 years at Deakin University (DU) under the supervision of Prof. Forsyth and the researcher will return to BCMaterials (BCM) for 1 year under the supervision of Prof. Lanceros-Mendez. In addition, a secondment at Lusorecursos SA, will accelerate innovation by closely working with industry

This project has received funding from the European Union´s Horizon 2020 research and innovation under the agreement 101026163
